You asked, we answered: What are some cute ways to wear our favorite summer dresses in the colder weather? — karl-and-coco
There are three easy ways to transition a summer dress into fall. I like to think about “The Three L’s: Legs, Layers, and Length.
Legs: When covering your leg, you don’t always need to find the thickest pair of knit tights. Lightweight materials will be fine, especially if you add a pair of over the knee boots. Basic black or dark brown tights can be worn with most outfits so you won’t have to do too much shopping.
Layers: Never forget to layer up. Jean jackets, heavy knit cardigans or warm wool blazers are the simplest options that will help keep you warm. The lightweight material of a summer dress will blow easily in the wind. When layering, search for thick materials that won’t let any of the cold air in.
Length: If the summer dress your are searching for is above your knees (as most are), find a knit cardigan that stops at your waist. If you cinch your waist with a skinny belt, you’ll keep your shape visible beneath all of these chunky layers.
Hope this helps!
How to Make a T-Shirt Not Just a T-Shirt:
-MA JOR jewels ! Man Repeller is known for rocking super chill tees with massive, glam statement necklaces. In theory this seems like a weird mix, but as this girl shows, it’s totally fabulous.
-Something dressy on bottom. Skip the jeans and opt for something more fab. A leather skirt, coated skinnies and cool leggings are all great options. Get yourself out of the tee shirt+jeans=perfect mind frame.
-Add-ons ! Unexpected shoes, major makeup or a fabulous bag (or a combo of the three) can instantly upgrade your favorite tee.
Get yourself into the habit of dressing up t-shirts by preparing an outfit around a dressier top, then simply switch out said top for a chic tee. It’s an easy switch that makes you seem cool, but understated.

The first rule for wearing Jeffrey’s is don’t try too hard. Wear what comes natural to you; don’t try to work an outfit around your shoes (unless that how you normally pick your outfit).
